Promise Kept
"just as he said..."
Check this out from scripture.
Matthew 28:1-6 "Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.
2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. 4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.
5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying."
Jesus had spoken over and over about his resurrection while he was here on earth. And "just as he said" it happened.
Some of you might be in the season of waiting like those who sat through the Silent Saturday before Resurrection Sunday. Jesus died on the cross, and many witnessed the horrific death on that Friday, but in between that Friday and the following Sunday, they waited for what He said would come to pass.
Your season of waiting may be years. It may be months. It may be days. I want to encourage you in your waiting. We serve a God who is a man of His word. Numbers 23:19 reads, "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?"
If God has spoken something to you through His Word and you have yet to behold it, stay in faith that "just as he said" it will happen. God has his own timeline, and it often does not match ours. He is a promise keeping God. We have to be a faith keeping people. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Faith does not make human sense. Eyes of faith will continue to stand on the word and speak the word and declare the word even when our physical eyes have yet to behold the word.
Standing with you in faith that "just as he said" your promises in Christ will come to pass in your life!
